Josephine Wodarczyk owned a family chalice that she wanted to give to a seminarian for his priestly ministry and ordination. She passed away in February at the age of 95, but her son Andrew Wodarczyk was recently able to fulfill her wishes by giving this chalice as a gift to Deacon Sebastian Zebrowski, who is originally from Poland and will be ordained to the holy priesthood on Saturday, May 15, 2021 for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Prior to receiving the chalice, Deacon Sebastian said, “I would be honored to obtain such a wonderful gift and would be excited to meet Mr. Wodarczyk and invite him for my first Mass.” Deacon Sebastian will also be offering his first polish Mass for Josephine in thanksgiving for the beautiful gift.
Please keep Deacon Sebastian and his brother seminarians in the Class of 2021 in your prayers as they approach their ordination. See below for other ways to support and pray for the Class of 2021.
