Bishop Robert Barron ’86 | Albert Cardinal Meyer Lecture Livestream

Posted on March 9, 2022

We were honored to welcome alumnus Bishop Robert Barron ’86, founder of Word on Fire and previous rector/president and longtime Mundelein Seminary faculty member, back to campus as the Albert Cardinal Meyer lecturer in our centennial year. Bishop Barron’s two-part lecture series entitled “Breaking Through the Buffered Self” explored why so many people today live in alienation from any relationship to the transcendent and offer a suggestion of paths toward re-establishing that link.

The lecture was delivered in two parts and followed by responses from Mundelein Seminary faculty members Father Brendan Lupton and Dr. Patricia Pintado-Murphy. A Q&A followed the lecture and responses.

Part 1 of Lecture | Thursday, March 10, 2022

Part 2 of Lecture, Faculty Responses and Q&A Session | Friday, March 11, 2022
