“Six years ago, I found myself on a retreat because of the suggestion of a friend. That suggestion became the catalyst for me to take the step I didn’t know I needed to take. Six years ago I stepped onto Mundelein Seminary for the first time, just to get away for the weekend. That weekend I met some of my closest friends and an encounter with the Lord in Eucharistic Adoration that forever changed my life. Six years ago today, the Lord asked me to be his priest. Because of that weekend, I took the first step on a journey that has truly been an adventure in fidelity that has taken me places I have never dreamed of. And today, I am a better man – a man who, God willing, will be ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in a few months. The Lord is never outdone in generosity. We listen, we say yes, and we trust in him.
