We are glad that you can join us for the Ordination of Deacons at Holy Name Cathedral on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Please note that the doors to the Cathedral will open forty-five minutes prior to the start of the Ordination.

In order to comply with guidelines of the State of Illinois and the Archdiocese of Chicago, each person attending is required to wear a face mask or face covering, which covers both the nose and mouth, for the entirety of the celebration. Please also know that ushers will help you to sanitize your hands as you enter the Cathedral and as you prepare to come forward to receive Holy Communion. We ask that if you are feeling ill or running a fever the day of that you please not attend out of an abundance of caution.

In order to maintain social distancing during Mass all seats will be assigned in advance, by household. An usher will help to seat you. Please bring the e-mail with your seating assignment on the day of the Ordination.

Holy Name Cathedral no longer owns a parking lot and no free parking is provided for the ordination Masses. To find parking in a nearby garage, we recommend that you reserve a spot in advance using the SpotHero app or parking.com. There is also street parking located around the Cathedral.  You can pay for these spots using the ParkChicago app on your phone.

We look forward to celebrating with you on May 8.
