Institute to Launch M.A.P.S. Program for Lay Students at USML
For the first time, the University of St. Mary of the Lake will offer a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies degree to lay students preparing for ministry. While program will officially launch in Fall 2014, the Institute for Lay Formation has already begun offering graduate courses. The M.A.P.S. program will meet the demands for ministry training in the northern part of the Archdiocese, namely Lake County. It also offers a unique part-time, evening delivery system. The degree is ATS accredited and cross registration is possible through the ACTS consortium.
